Teaching

Les Huckfield continues as an active university lecturer. He is a member of the University and College Union.

At Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU), Les Huckfield currently supervises doctoral students, having previously:

  1. from 2018 till 2024 (current ongoing) supervised Masters’ and Undergraduate Dissertation Students
  2. from 2021 till 2022 taught at GCU’s Institute of University to Business for Diploma and BA Honours students, including students working in South Africa, including research methods, seminars and tutorials
  3. from 2018 till 2021 taught third year students on the Enterprise Value Challenge Module (Entrepreneurship for Business, Employment and Society), including seminars and tutorial groups, with preparation, coordination and supervision of students’ external group projects
  4. from 2016 till 2020 taught final year Global Social Entrepreneurship and Enterprise students with seminars, tutorials, lectures, including the introduction of a social enterprise placement programme to complete organisational projects
  5. from 2018 and 2019 taught Enterprise Value Challenge (Society, Employability and Business) 2nd year students with seminars and tutorial groups, including preparation, coordination and supervision of students’ external group projects.
  6. from 2018 and 2019 taught final year students on the Sustainability, Corporate Responsibility and Ethics in International Business (SCORE) Module, based on UN Sustainable Development Goals and Corporate Social Responsibility, including preparation, coordination and supervision of students’ external group projects and arrangement and coordination of student external studies.

At the Open University, Leslie Huckfield is an Associate Lecturer on the following Modules:

  • September 2021 till 2024 (ongoing). DD226 Economics in Practice, a second year Module. He was a Member of the Module Team
